Ace Journalist, Prince Yemi Itodo Donates Classroom Block To School – Photos

Adum community in Ogbadibo Local Government Area of Benue state was thrown into excitement and celebrations today, 22 February, 2019, as their illustrious son, Prince Yemi Itodo handed over a block of three classrooms he influenced to LGEA Primary School Idediloko Adum through the constituency project dividends of former senate president and senator representing Benue Zone C, Sen. David Mark, to the community.

Seeing the serious shortage of classrooms which has forced children to learn in huts and under trees, thereby affecting the learning process, Prince Yemi approached Senator Mark with serious concern over the plight of the children and the senator seeing the burden expressed by the young man obliged to build the structure.

When the 2017 budget was being drafted, the office of the senator made provision for the construction of the block of classrooms in Idediloko in it.

It was an atmosphere of joy, therefore, when the Adum community gathered in their numbers to receive the completed project as it was being handed over to them by their beloved son.

During the handing over, the member representing Ado, Okpokwu, Ogbadibo in the federal House of Representatives, Hon Hassan Saleh, who performed the cutting of tape and handing over ceremony, eulogized Yemi Itodo for this great feat, and pray for God to bless him.

Receiving the building on behalf of the community, the clan head, Chief David Ochai and the school headmaster, Mr Otene Julius could not hide their excitement as they poured encomiums on prince Itodo for his love for fatherland. They also thanked Senator David Mark who listened to the appeal of their son and built the classrooms for them.

In his speech, The man of the moment, Prince Yemi Itodo thanked God for the initiative and appreciated Senator Mark for the great service.

He said he was driven by compassion for the children as some of them sat in huts and under trees to learn. Mr Itodo said ” children cannot learn well in an inconducive environment, for the environment affect their learning ability”

In a goodwill message delivered by his director of social media Emmanuel Eche- Ofun, the senatorial candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Comrade Abba Morro, Praised the effort of Prince Yemi Itodo. He said it is only young men with vision and concern for their people that can achieve this. He assured them that in the near future they will see more if this.

Present during the ceremony were the House of Assembly candidate for Ogbadibo state constituency on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party, Hon Peter Enemari, Hon Hassan Salleh, Marek’s Johnson, convener of Ogbadibo Carnival, Ogbadibo Local Government PDP secretary Hon Peter Ojo, Ai Odoo ward 1 PDP chairman chief Daniel Onu, village heads, and other dignitaries
